Founded Reina Trading Co., Ltd. (presently, Reina Co., Ltd.), a trading company for selling imported products, together with four women centering on Chie Imai to start an importing business.
Chie Imai assumed presidency of the company headquartered in Fukuoka. |

Started designing the fur brand, Royal Fur.
Reina began producing “Mosaique de Chie” coats.
Royal Fur, Reina’s directly-managed fur and leather shop, was opened in Fukuoka. |

Held the first “Chie Imai Fur & Leather Collection” show.
Annual fashion shows have since been held in Tokyo and Fukuoka.
The Tokyo Office was opened in Jingumae, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. |

Highly assessed as a successful entrepreneur, Chie Imai became the third female owner to receive the Entrepreneur Award from The New Business Conference. |

Acquired “Futaba Fur,” the exclusive furrier of the Japanese Imperial family.
Remodeled Futaba Fur’s shop in the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo and opened it as Royal Chie Futaba Fur.
Opened Royal Chie on the second floor of the SUNROSER shopping complex at Hotel New Otani Hakata. |

Became the first Asian designer to be invited to present her collection and hold a fashion show in New York among other renowned fashion designers including Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent.
Awarded by the Asian-American Advisory Council and New York City for the artistry and sensitivity of the collection.
Chie Imai started holding her annual collection launches in New York.
Began selling fur products in the U.S. from the fall.

Became one out of forty to be selected as Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World™ for 2002 and was presented with the award in Paris in April.
Opened Royal Chie on Madison Avenue in New York in October.
Participated in Fukuoka Asia Collection in November as a designer representing Japan. |

Imai Chie was honorably mentioned by Japan Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in his policy speech given at the 150th Ordinary Session of the Diet.
Opened Royal Chie on the fifth floor of Daimaru Department Store in Sapporo, Hokkaido in March.
Held a fashion show at The St. Regis in New York in October. |

to join the exclusive "Purple Club".The international Kopenhagen Fur auction house passed
Royal chie on the rigorous screening because its continuous high quality and distinctive design of
